Today was a Good Day.

I have a headache the size of Texas.  Yes, Texas, because as they say...Everything's bigger in Texas.
So yeah, my headache is THAT big.

I spent four hours making a short rib dinner tonight at Grandma's, and although everyone absolutely loved it and wants me to make it again, I was a little disappointed.  I'm sure it's because it didn't come out tasting exactly like the short ribs I had eaten at Campiello, but I seem to always have that problem with cooking.  Every time I make something I find fault in it and then inevitably don't eat it.  But at least everyone else loved it, so that's not too bad, eh?

During some of the downtime, I was able to get a few really nice pictures of Afton and Rudy.  Rudy always whines about not having any photos of himself, so today I said Enough! and took him outside.  Here are my best shots:

I did my best to edit out the yucky scabs on Afton's nose from her picking at her nose (she does this without realizing while sucking her thumb), and she did a great job of actually holding still for me today.  It made me happy.  Rudy was a good little model too (don't tell him I said that!), but I can never get the guy to make any other face than one you see in all three photos.  He actually claims to be smiling, but it's not even close.  I think he's self-conscious, but he shouldn't be, because he's my hotty hubby, and he's lost quite a lot of weight (I wish I could!).

He was also showing off his new cowboy hat.  I think it's seeeeeecsay.

Alright, I am going to find a hammer to bash my skull in before my brains find the way out through my ears.  Owwie.
