Mother Nature on the Rampage

Yesterday, the valley got pummeled by storms.  Not just any kind of run-of-the-mill storm, either.  These were the kind of storms you find in Tornado Alley!  They whipped through the city at 50+ mph and brought microbursts, hail, destructive lightning, flooding and lots of chaos.  I was caught in the storm with Afton as we were trying to leave Wal-Mart, and poor Afton was terrified.  The whole store shook with each blast of thunder, it was unbelievable!

Even now, on Wednesday morning, there have been two confirmed tornadoes by Flagstaff!  That is unheard of!  I clipped a couple of pictures from ABC15.com of the storms yesterday.  I didn't grab any of the damage, but it's fairly extensive.  My family escaped any serious damage, including my poor car that was caught in the massive hail storm.
Approaching wall cloud of doom, with damage seen below.

It was like a snowstorm...a very painful, not so snowy snowstorm.

The Valley is under attack!

Today will be a day to clean up the patio, which is riddled with dirt and debris.  Yuck.  Not my idea of a fun day, but it needs to get done, nonetheless.  Happy Wednesday everyone!
